Who am I and what I do

I am a teacher who passes on knowledge to students and a researcher who is fascinated by the potential of intelligence. I am involved in the application of computational intelligence. My research interests include application of neural networks, machine learning and pattern recognition. Lately, I am a big fan of deep learning. I am fascinated by its capability to solve real problems in vision and NLP. In 2015 I organised the first workshop in Poland DArViNN - Deep Architectures for Vision and Natural Language Processing. Ruslan Salakhutinov, Roland Memisevic i Wojciech Zaremba were invited speakers.
Since 1988 I have been working at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Now, I am a professor at the Department of Computational Intelligence
